BRACELET IS A PERSONAL LIFE MANAGER!

It seems like most of us are short on time these days, despite having a house full of gadgets to take care of many of our everyday tasks. That smart phone might help you keep track of appointments at first, but it can only do so much to actually make your life easier. This conceptual product is described as a “life support” device, meant to take care of remembering all of those little things you might otherwise space off and forget.  The Mercator is part personal data assistant, part health monitor, part GPS, part shopping assistant, and all must-have cutting-edge technology. New nanotechnology and a tiny AMD processor chip make this functional but stylish piece come together in a way that makes us want one right now
Far from being just a wrist-mounted PDA, the Mercator – designed by Chinese UI designer Kingyo -A actually uses holographic imaging to display the information you need to keep your life in order. Appointment details, information about your current vital signs, and even your grocery shopping list pop right up in front of you to keep you on track no matter where you are. The device can tell what type of store you’re shopping in (presumably with some related piece of infrastructure that’s present in the store) and presents you with recommendations and reminders based on your buying patterns and preferences.

IBM: FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY PREDICTIONS

IBM is the one who published an interesting article from the third annual IBM Next Five in Five, revealing the future of technology – predictions, which gives us an answer to the question “Why is technology important?” but also tells us how will the latest gadgets in technology evolve in the near future.- The answer to “Why is technology important today? A is simple: -Because it makes our lives easier and more pleasant. And it doesn’t require spending lots of money on luxury products, but just to change our focus on what really counts and what really helps improving each of our life’s aspects, depending on our needs.

IBM first mentions the green technology aspects, which should be the most important criteria when looking for new gadgets. The company says that in the near future the solar panels will be built into asphalt, paint and even windows. What does this mean exactly? –Well, it refers at the fact that by enabling solar energy in sidewalks, driveways, siding, paint, rooftops and windows with the use of thin-film solar cells will save an enormous amount of energy costs. This will happen in the next five years or so and will become very affordable as the manufacturing process will involve this new type of solar cell that can be designed 100 times thinner than silicon-wafer cells, at lower costs. The new solar cells will be so thin that companies will be able to print them on cell phones, notebooks, cars and clothes.

The second innovation will be introduced in the healthcare sector and the main beneficiaries will be the patients. According to IBM, who got involved in these technology advancements, we will watch the crystal balls, used before by sorcerers, and find out which the right foods for our genetic map are. Each individual has his own genetic map and soon doctors will provide us with it so we can change our lifestyle into a healthier one. Maybe you are that type allowed to eat potato chips and lots of sweets, but you don’t know that. Well, in the next years your family doctor will tell you exactly what you can eat without damaging your health, and it won’t cost you more than $200.

Speech recognition is becoming popular and you can enable it on your laptop and cell phone as well. In the next years you will be able to talk to the Internet and it will answer. The navigation will be done handsfree and you won’t need the keyboard and mouse anymore. Also, IBM sais we will have our own digital shopping assistant. Shops will be equipped with touchscreens, voice-activated kiosks that will tell you what clothes fit your style best and what accessories could complement your already chosen items. More than that, the same devices will display shop’s ratings and customers’ reviews. In addition you will receive discount coupons.

The fifth innovation mentioned by IBM is more complex and involves a large network of devices, each with different function, which will work to help us remind of appointments, things we need to buy from the market in the week-end, or at what hour we have to attend a conference. This network includes video cameras and microphones, all interconnected and programmed to record our conversations and activities. The central computer will store all the data and alert us on these appointments. The number of possibilities enabled by the existent technology advancements is endless and we could say that nothing is impossible if we trust it.

FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES

The future is digital and everyone is one the jump to take a grab of the pie and earn millions. Surely technology has changed the world. People have far more luxurious lives than they have had in 100 years. But despite all the luxuries many technologies have changed lives for the better be it for security or health. Education or military. These are industries which will pave the way for the future. Lets look at a fabulous video that will change our perspective of the next 10 digital technologies that already exist in the world but will be grand after a certain number of years.

BIOMETRIC TECHNOLOGY

BIOMETRIC TECHNOLOGY

A new technology being rolled out by an identity security and identity theft prevention technology firm may be able to help reduce the incidences of electronics being stolen by identity thieves for the sole purpose of stealing the personal designation information stored within.
The devices, which will be live scan systems that digitally capture fingerprints and store the personal recognition information with the FBI, will be used as part of the Department of Homeland Security First Source program. The fingerprint data will be used to conduct criminal background checks prior(a) to determinations on whether or not to grant immigration benefits to applicants.
The first wave of biometric devices to be created under the contract will make their debut in the next six months astatine all 134 U.S. Customs and Immigration Service Application Support Centers in the U.S. and its territories of Saipan, Guam, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
“Our technology is flexible, scalable and well deployed in any customer environment as a state-of-the-art system for solving identity-related challenges, of particular grandness today given national security concerns,” said Robert V. LaPenta. “Furthermore, our field service and support organization is second to none, and the dedication and skill the team brings helps ensure that we can stand up these sophisticated systems quickly and provide optimal value to our customers in support of current and future program requirements.”
While the program is being intentional specifically for immigration use, the construct of fingermark technology could be utilized to protect suitcases and laptops that could contain important information that are often stolen by thieves looking to commit identity theft.
Last week, a laptop computer containing information regarding 689 patients’ personal identification information was reported missing. While infirmary officials are unsure if any personal recognition information has been accessed since the theft, a biometric device that requires a fingerprint scan to access the information would be sufficient bar for such identity theft.
